Who we are....
The Oamaru Whitestone Civic Trust is governed by a board of eight dedicated volunteers whose commitment and expertise play a vital role in the stewardship of the Heritage Precinct and the Trust’s wider portfolio of historic buildings. Working in a voluntary capacity, the board provides strategic direction, governance, and advocacy, ensuring that the Trust’s long-term vision for conservation, protection, and adaptive reuse is upheld.
Their collective dedication, combined with the support of staff, local craftspeople, tenants, and the wider community, has been instrumental in shaping the Heritage Precinct and Oamaru into what it is today. Through their efforts, Oamaru’s historic streetscapes have been preserved, revitalised, and reimagined as a living heritage destination that continues to contribute to the social, and economic life of the town.
