CREATING A VICTORIAN STALL
Think … striped awnings, gazebos, market umbrellas. Make provision to securely anchor them with weights. What about a barrow instead of a table? Red, white and blue flags, bunting, streamers, barber poles!
Let your imagination go.
Have table cloths to the ground (it makes for out of sight storagefor extra stock and bits and bobs), perhaps have layered cloths. Perhaps no cloths if you are going for a more rustic display.
Use the window ledges at the back of your stall for displays and add height with a bamboo screen, bakers stand, rustic gates or brush fencing.
Minimise plastic, use paper bags, brown paper and string for wrapping. It’s the little details that add the wow factor. Have fun with it and enjoy!!
